Default Intercooler+Intake

I believe most people would call this rice, but frankly, like neons, I dont care. Its an intake that looks like an intercooler. Im sure you could custom fab it to fit the PT. Someone emailed me about it but I accidently deleted your message. Poo. My bad.

Modify it and mount it in front of the radiator.

IRPT, wouldn't stealing air flow in front of the radiator be a bad thing? That intercooler filter looks pretty big and I would think that it would rob the radiator of cool air and cause the engine to run a little hotter than usual. I wonder how significant the effect would be?

PT-ERA in the photo at the top of this post the air intake that 'looks' like an intercooler doesn't seem to be that big, no measurements so don't know for sure. Looks as though you could mount it in front of the radiator, if it's not closed on the backside air would still pass thru it.

I saw one installed on a Honda on Horsepower TV once. It is pretty big and the back is not open. They cut the grill out from in front of it. It is a pretty big piece. I wouldn't mount it in front of the rad. It would block a lot of airflow and the deflection around it would reduce flow even more. REally not worth the hassle to install it or the potnetial problems after you plop down probably a couple hundred dollars to buy it.

I like Horsepower TV. They show a lot of cool stuff you don't really hear about unless you hang out with the younger crowd or read every car mag on the shelf.
