Question Adjust the speedometer?

I was just wondering... Is there were a way to adjust the speedometer?

I was considering some new wheels/tires, but they are not an exact match, so the speedometer would not be accurate. Since this is all computer controlled, can it be adjusted?

If not, can the gear/sensor/etc in the transmission be adjusted or replaced to compensate?

Question Re: Adjust the speedometer?

Bumping this...

Is there any Chrysler experts out there than know if the speedometer can be adjusted to compensate for a change in tire size?

Can the PCM be reprogrammed? Can a gear be changed on the cable? etc?

Thanks!

Can't be done. You can compensate with tire size, though.

It's really not that big a deal. I went wider, with bigger wheels and tires. I took my PT out for a drive with my GPS on to monitor the accuracy and my speedo is exactly 2mph slow. 2mph?? I really don't believe I'll worry about that....
