If your saying the high and low fan run at the same speed, how do you know you have both speeds?

Never mind that, you don't have them both. There's a heck of a difference between high and low speed. When the low is on you actually have to look to see if it's spinning if the engine is running because it's that quiet. With the high speed, there's no dought that it's on, the air rushing around together with the slight noise of the fan motor is way above the noise of the engine. If yours isn't like that, most likely the high speed part of the fan is burnt out.

thanks for the help! yes the fan comes on with ac. if i cut the ac off the fan will come on as it gets hot but the rpms are the same.and i still run hot in stop & go traffic only . if the high speed part is burnt out will it still run at low speed in high speed mode???? as it gets hot. thanks.

If your fan comes on with the a/c it's not your high speed fan that's burned out. Only the high speed fan will come on with the a/c.
