disable audible alert on getrig manual transmission

Default disable audible alert on getrig manual transmission

hi,

i love my 06 pt gt convertible but i can't stand the audible alert that sounds every time i shift into reverse. does anyone know how to disable it?

As far as I know there is no way to disable it. They put it there for a reason though. Since 1st and reverse are next to each other it's very easy to put it in reverse rather than 1st. It's a European style transmission. American style transmissions usually have reverse by the last gear. Just live with it. And be glad it's there that one time that you're not paying attention and put it in reverse instead of 1st.
