Default cant get the engine to catch

have an 04 PT. Recently bought the car from a friend, car has been sitting for 6-7 months. Replaced bad cam and crank sensors and replaced the battery. Starter turns the engine, but it wont catch. Code check shows no problem. I am leaning towards bad fuel or a clogged line but any other ideas would help.

Why was it parked for 6-7 months? Was some work done prior to the car being parked (i.e. timing belt) that might lend a clue?

Did you check to ensure that you have spark?

If you have spark and nothing was done to the car, then you probably need fresh fuel.

Is there anyway to check for a spark without having to buy a dummy plug?

car was sitting for short time because instead of repairing the car, the previous owner bought a new one, so i got this on the very cheap

checked for spark at first plug, have spark
removed at least half of a full tank and repalce with a quater of premium, but still nothing

going to check the starter just to make sure its spinning fast enough

a few other questions:
1. when replacing the cam sensor does the engine have to be at TDC? I didnt put it in, but wondered if it wasnt, could this be my issue...
2. the crank sensor was already provided for me, but the one i was given was full plastic and didnt look like the the one I took out. Wondering if anyone else used the full plastic or should I try to find something more similar?

Our PT's do not care for aftermarket sensors, buy OEM's.
