Default Problem with Idling?

I have a 2003 Touring Edition Cruiser with about 98,000 miles on it.

Note: This ONLY happens when the A/C is on, when the A/C is off, the car runs and Idles fine.

When I'm stopped at a stop light or just idling in a parking lot and the A/C is on, the RPM's start to drop below about 700 and the car starts to stutter and act like its about to die and it actually did die just one time. But when I turn off the A/C, it does fine. The CEL is not on but every once in a while when the car starts to stutter, the oil light comes on, even after I had a fresh oil change. I'm hoping to get this figured out before spending the money at a shop so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

thanks, looks like what i'm most focused on looking into would be either the A/C compressor and the Spark Plugs/Wires.
Hope it works
Thanks again

I would start with the plugs and wires. They are cheap and probably need changing anyway.

yeah thats what I was thinking. I'll pick some up next time I run to town since I'm like 40 miles away from the closest town and hope it works. I didn't even think about the spark plugs being the problem since the A/C played a role in the problem

Yup - the stock wires are crap. Glad it worked for you...
