Default Where does this hose go?

i have a 03 PT GT. Auto. while changing the rad, i found the valve cover missing a hose. at the dealer (terrible diagrams) we found a vacuum hose that went from the valve cover to the air box. i ordered it and installed it.

problem is, there is a hose that comes from the vacuum harness above the turbo. it has a 90* elbow and a large hose that was plugged into the airbox. it doesn't look like a factory hose, where the hell is it supposed to go?

this is the hose i need help with. there are no open nipples to plug it onto?

i tried to show where this comes from.

the top circle is the hose that used to go to the airbox. the bottom shows where one of the turbo inlet hoses come up to the hose. there is also a tee that leads off to the vacuum harness.

Wherever it goes to, it's not suppose to be there.

Use the vacuum map under the hood and redo your vacuum lines. I'd also suggest checking ALL vacuum lines to make sure they are in good condition. 5/32 vacuum hose makes good replacement.

Maybe a catchcan. The only hose going into the airbox should be from the valvecover. Lots of folks fashion catch cans to keep oil from sploogin all over in the airbox.

That is a factory hose for the vacuum ejector return path to the intake. It plugs in to the bottom of the pipe going from the airbox to the turbo compressor inlet. It is supposed to be there.

Where can I purchase one? Not the hose but the filter/check valve? Dealer claim it was discontinued.
