Sqealing problem in 2003 PT Cruiser

Well, I don't beleive this happens to often, at least in my experiences. I have had my car back to the shop several times and NOT ONCE have I raised my voice. The first time they had it a VERY long time and never offered me a loaner. I asked twice but was refused. After they returned it, after having it a very long time, they neglected to install the pass. side splash shield and a bracket that holds up the rear of the intake manifold. NEITHER is a small part. They also put a nice size scratch in the top of the pass. fender. How can you put on the pass front tire and not notice the splash shield is missing?[:I] Granted they have taken care of those problems BUT... it took another two weeks. I dropped it off on a Mon. they said it would be ready on Fri. I have had the intake off & back on in less than one hour. Anyone can R&R the tire and splash shield in 1/2 hour. Why did it take a dealership one week? I go to pick it up on Friday as they said and it was just dropped off at the bodyshop for the scratch repair (why didn't they call me). I picked it up the following Friday. What pisses me off more than anything here, is during the ENTIRE 7 out of 8 weeks they had the car, I could NEVER get a straight answer or a call back to my questions. So, I had to drive 30 miles EACH time each way to get a face to face answer. Yes, every time I kept my cool, but do not have faith in last two Chrysler dealerships i have purchsed from. I asked several employees at my different visits how would they would feel if they were in my shoes. This is the look I got [:0] LMAO! No they did not get a favorable rating on the survey the sent me. I would be REALLY interested to see how many folks here that read this would have kept their cool, so to speak[8]

My 03 only squealed after rain storms. My dealer replaced the belt tensioner and belt under warantee and all is fine.

Isn't it like three times in a month or so period and its branded as a lemon. It could be a worped rotor. My old Nissan had a worped rotor and it sounded like I had birds in the engine. I took it to the dealer and said that I have birds in the engine and not horses, jk.

I have the steering noise [xx(] and the belt sqealing noise [xx(]that has been reported by others. My previous dealings with the dealer is what has prevented me from taking it in to have these noises looked at or listened to I love this car but DAummmm...

What if the dealer has had your vehicle and couldn't make the deal go through, even after 70+ days or so, should you (me) get your deposit back? They can't finance me, for personal reasons, NOT credit reasons, and now want to throw me into 'collections', even though I haven't taken it from the dealer's lot. I test drove it once, for less than 2 miles, and it's been sitting since, had 269 miles on it the first and last time I remember. What would you'all do??? Stew Anyhelp or advice out there???????????????Thanx in advance

Thanks for immediate response, I fear confrontaion when their holding my money (and their car too). I'll hopefully get over their today and see what their plan is, crap on the car I don't want $1800. navigation radio, and the sway bar is gone, but the sent me certified mail indicating that 'it was designed that way'. They also installed Stage 1 And mopars BOV and I said I won't take the car unless they put it in writting that ALL of these modification that they installed will NOT affect my warranty, still have yet to recieve that too.May be they'll change their tune, but then again, I'm the little guy, and their the big 5STAR dealer. Will let ya know, Stew
