Default 02 PT engine cooling fan

2002 pt cruiser. No engine fan. Results from some test are.
1 the fan will only work on high speed when direct current put to plug.
2 the feed wire to the fan gets hot (14v) but know fan at just over half way up on the guage.
3 the temp goes to red and still no power to the other side(high)
4 my fuses and relays are good.
What could keep the high side of the fan from getting power?
I realize I need to replae fan motor but I have read a lot of threads of ones that last 3-4 weeks, is there a good aftermarket fan motor?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this circuit?

Please help

It's the square (about 8 inches square) black or silver box that connected to the firewall on the drivers side of the engine compartment. 4 red connectors on the PCM in the picture below. Not all of them have the 4 red connectors like you see there. Some have the connections at the bottom of the box.

PCM, re-manufactured somewhere around $300

Chrysler

The fans can be bought cheapest on eBay. There's hundreds of them and usually under $100. Really can't tell what country they are from or how long they will last.
