Default What exactly is a tune-up on a '07 Cruiser?

Is it just replacing the plugs and wires or are there other things that are done?

Mine has 55,000 and I replaced the plugs and wires a few months back. For the most part it runs great, but sometimes when driving for a while, it seams to be a little rough on acceleration at certain speeds. Wondering if there's something I should be looking at. Oh, I have a K/N drop in replacement air filter, too.

i think that's it for a tune up, but you may want to check the gaps on the plugs. Crewzin say's a 40 gap for non-turbo's and i think chromenut says .35 for turbo, but no platinum's, i think.

I put Autolite Iridium plugs in and checked the gap, which I believe was 0.4. Oh, and mine is a non-turbo.

It runs really smooth most of the time, just occationally at different speeds it feels a little rough. Curious if there was something else that I might have missed looking at. I did change the pcv a while ago, too.

I would prefer champions on a Chrysler. Autolites are more for ford. I used those for the Mazda pick up i had and my sis in laws Ranger.

What wires did you use for replacement? That's the ONLY electrical part you shouldn't get from the dealer unless you step up to the Blue MOPAR Performance wires.

I'm tuning up my 07 Cruiser (Non-Turbo) as well. I found these wires on ebay. Would they work?

I'm not sure of the 2.0L engine compared to ours but they should work. I can't see there being a different in the space between the coil and plugs as as long as that's the same, they should be OK.

Falconut, that should be .040in not 0.4. but that could just be a typo on your part. If not, they need to be regapped. Plugs wires and fuel delivery should be the only things that need looking into. You might have a fowled injector that would be ok in normal driving but when full acceleration is needed, it's not able to give a full spray. They a large bottle of Chevron Techron in the gas tank when it's 3/4 to 1/2 full to try and clean any deposits in the fuel line and injectors.
