Default Throttle Body Spacer

i was looking at getting a spacer for my 05 ptc. has anyone installed one and do they help with gas mileage and performance. i also just bough an air intake kit for my ptc and was wondering if shorter pipe and bigger filter would help. the kit came with a longer pipe and a really small filter.

The throttle body spacer is a waste of money on the Pt Cruiser's.

The spacer is a waste of money. No increase in gas mileage or performance. The air intake kit can help a bit but use the long pipe to get the filter (large or small) as close to the hole in the wheel well where the OEM filter draws the cool air.

i've asked a lot of questions about bolt on's and there's really not to much that can be done, but a spacer is one of the things i've never asked about, i already knew they were a waist of time and money, and that's a lot coming from me. lol everyone would agree with me about that. but check this out.

i took the original intake tubing and connected it to the front of the filter to the cold air hole on the wheel hub.

i'm guessing the turbine spins but idk if it really helps. the vortex air wont reach the combustion chamber. i also have a "dual fan fuel saver" but everyone tells me that it doesn't work, whatever. im a suck'a for gimmicks, except for a spacer. lol. i got the filter on ebay by the way. check it out BMW E36 E46 Intake Supercharger Air Turbo Performance - eBay (item 170549539120 end time Jan-04-11 09:55:46 PST)
despite what it says it's for, it fits 3/3.5/4 in pipes. check out my vid. Messing with my Intake
