Unless you touched something you shouldn't have, the idle is computer controlled. No adjustment. We usually tell people to disconnect the negative battery cable to reset the computer when they are having problems but that was done when you swapped batteries. I guess it wouldn't hurt to do it again.

The IAC (Idle Air Controller) attached to the throttle body could be dirty or need replacement but it should have been that way before the battery swap, not just afterwards.

P.S. I guess they don't teach punctuation where your from.

I had the exact issue you are having and it turned out to be a vacuum leak. Check all hoses/lines/etc. and make sure they are connected. The PCM controls the idle via the IAC motor. The IAC motor can become clogged, usually resulting in a rough idle (lack of sufficient air flow, inconsistent flow, etc.) but not a high idle. The PCM may raise idle to compensate for increased flow (such as a vacuum leak). Also check the throttle position sensor. If I had to guess one, though, I would bet on a vacuum leak...

I tried to resist it, really I did. I failed miserably so now I am going to point out that in the process of correcting Tony you have opened yourself up to be scrutinized. Thus I have to mention that "I guess they don't teach the difference between 'you're' and 'your' where you're from".

P.S. I am having the same problem as Tony (the idling, not the punctuation), but I read the thread and now have some options to try before I come post here about it.

Yep happened to me when I changed the battery. It IS likely vacuum leak, when I had to yank the large plastic bin out to get at the bolt that holds down the battery, I accidentally cracked the hose thingy that is WAY TOO DELICATE AND WAY TOO CLOSE TO THE DANG AIR FILTER TUB/BIN/THINGY. I don't fix cars as you have probably guessed, but this hose looks like a ten dollar fix that I can manage. I confirmed the diagnosis by starting the engine and holding the tube in place and the idle goes down. I would use JB Weld on it but it looks like it has a sensor of some kind in the end and I want to replace the whole part.
