Estrada, does it stay on all the time you're running your engine? If so, it's probably the clock spring, located in the column. Not an easy fix ....

Hopefully it was just a fluke...

Estrada, I forgot to mention that the Air Bag Light seems to be the last one to go out in the dash. If it just seems to take a long while to go out--that is, it eventually goes out--when this happened to me, I ended up the next morning with a bum battery, altogether. Sounds weird, I know. But check your battery and connections to the battery-starter-control box, etc.

is it the driver or passenger side airbag light that stays on? I've noticed that my passenger light comes on when there's no one in the seat next to me.

gkid, that may be so because the system turns off unless you have a minimum weight person sitting in the passenger seat. They don't want the air-bag going off on a small child ....

At least that's why my passenger seat belt light turns on when mu Westies are riding with me in my Ford Ranger ....

Check the connector under the driver seat. Its a big bulky connector and the only one of its type under the driver seat. I tried to figure out a way to disable the annoying bing of the seat belt when im not wearing it and i unclipped that connector and my airbag light came on. Plugged it back in and it went off.
