Default Changing PCM and TCM together

I have a 2002 PT Cruiser with a check engine code of P0605, which is the TCM. It's an automatic that won't shift out of first gear despite the speed. If I buy a used PCM and TCM from the same vehicle (another 2002 model) would I have to flash them? I'm assuming the TCM is flashed to the PCM, but if they both came from the same vehicle, wouldn't they already be flashed to each other?
