Default 05 pt will not start

ok long story short...
wife took car shopping came out and it will not start..
radio and all comes on everything works but turn key to start and nothing no click no nothing like the starter isnt even there..
pulled starter in the middle of night at about 22 degrees out side (fun) took to advanced had starter and battery tested came back all good even tried to jump it and no change..

had the old timer at advanced tell me it may be the ignition module or there may be a fuseable link in column that has popped.. any seen this or have any idea where to start on this>?>?
thanks for all the help in advance

i have replaced relay for starter ( just couse i had a spare) and this changed nothing have to head to work will try another battery when i get home see if that changes anything..
\ i have checked all fuses and all are good did not see a "starter" fuse but checked all just to do it.

if not battery im starting to think that it may be the ignition switch ?.? does this sound possible?

Exclamation Re: 05 pt will not start

ok i have tried the battery out of my other car with no change...

i have checked all fuses and relays
i have had starter tested and it runs like a top
every thing works fine with no problems
i turn key to start the car and get nothing no click no noise no nothing
acts as if there is no starter hooked up

i put my meter on the power wire to the starter and get my 12 volts
i am assuming that the one little push on connector on the starter is the lead from ignition when key is in start pos. i am guessing i should have voltage on that wire also does anyone have any idea what that should be i have not checked it yet (my arms are not long enough to reach the key from under hood)

if anyone has any ideas no matter how strange or unusual pls reply
really need some direction on this one

it is possible that the neutral safty switch is bad. you should have power to the little wire when cranking.

that never crossed my mind until now
but my wife who drives car daily did tell me that sometimes she has to "jiggle" the shifter in park to get it to let go of the key ?.?.

man that completely slipped my mind

is this something easy to change or is it going to be a whole weekend under the car in the cold rain in the back yard

is it the original key? do you have anotheer you could try?(if this key is a copy)
used pcm's can be had but the vin has to be flashed. PM Taggert LOA and copy this thread, i wont say more due to "run and tell" issues.

you can check the shift linkage by removing the airbox.

A friend of mine had the same problem with his Chrysler Lebaron. The car shifted fine but you had to jiggle the shifter to start it.

yes it is the orig. key and the only one i have
i really dont drive the car much but i have never actually seen the "must jiggle" shifter to get key out. but we all know how that works it wont work right till you take it to someone to check on it

if the rain lets up and i can get home b4 it is dark thirty ill take a look at all the linkage and see if i can see anything out of usual
should be easy i have taken out the factory air box and replaced with large open element filter so i can see everything pretty well
