Default Crankshaft oil seal replacement help

I am replacing my timing belt and noticed the crankshaft oil seal is leaking. I would like to replace the seal but I need to know what size bolt I need to thread into the crank. I have a crank puller kit that i used to remove the balancer pulley but the bolts are to large to fit the the holes so i am looking for the correct size bolt to remove the sprocket. Thanks.

It's M6 something for the three bolts holes at the timing belt sprocket. The center bolt is M12 x 1.75. I had to run a tap to my crank due to damage thread by the previous person that worked on it.

My local Aces Hardware had the M6 metric bolts and a M12 100mm all stud. I bought two all studs, one use to remove the sprocket, because you will destroy its top using a puller on it. The other for replacing the center bolt as it was damage and I don't like the bolt. I replaced the center bolt with an all stud, washer, a nut, and used thread lock.

To install the timing belt sprocket, you're going need to a special tool or use a long M12 x 1.75 x 300mm stud, a nut, a washer, a axle nut socket, and lube.

You can buy the stud here. McMaster-Carr

Good luck.

Any tips for getting the seal out and installing a new one? I am going to work on this in the morning.

If it is already leaking, it should come out very easy.

Pry carefully, and don't damage any metal surface.
