Default 2010 PT Cruiser always on power outlet HELP

I see a lot of talk about the always on power outlet missing from the center console lower storage bin. I had a similar issue with my 2002 PT missing the always on power outlet fron the center dash. I was able to purchase the part and connect it to the existing wiring.

Before I purchased the 2010 I asked the dealer about doing the same thing with the lower storage bin outlet. Nobody was sure if the wire was still available since the outlet was no longer available as an option as in 2002. Unfortunately the wire is not there.

I have the outlet that I took out of my 2002 before I traded it in and would like to install it in my 2010.

I really appreciate all the suggestions I have read so far about running it through the firewall using the hood release etc. The one thing I have not seen is if there is a way to connect it to the new Integrated Power Module (IPM) and what fuse is for the power outlets. It looks like it should be #11 but I am not sure.

Any help with connecting to the IPM will be appreciated. I really need an always on power outlet to charge my blue tooth, GPS, etc. when I am out of the car as I did with my 2002.

Thank you

I wired my 2008 direct to the battery with a inline fuse.

Hooligan,

Thanks for the prompt response. I just wondered if anyone knew where the connection was in the IPM. If nothing else I can go directly to the battery too. Great minds must think alike. My new 2010 PTCruiser Classic is Silver Steel Metallic also.
