Default PT Console Lights Turn On / nothing else happens

Hi, I went outside to go to lunch, got into the car and turned the key and the console lights turned on but nothing happened. I drove to work, but now it won't even attempt to turn over. Is it because of a dead or dying battery?

After a freezing rain, there was a new message "NO BUS" on my console and the console lights up and the odometer and tachotmeter don't move

Guess 1. Corroded battery terminal connections.
Guess 2. Bad battery.

Question 1. How old is the battery?
Question 2. When was the last time the battery terminals were cleaned?
