can anyone identify this for me and how it goes back together

Default can anyone identify this for me and how it goes back together

I noticed a fuel leek so removed this cover and it sprung out on me doh the small silver disc needs to go somewhere but can't figure it out. This came of my 2002 2.2 diesal cruiser the kit it came off is directly in line from the fuel filter and is mounted on the side of engine. please please help !
