Default Help!-Chrysler Repair Questions

im doing a diagnostic on my chrysler 2001 and i found an error...the problem was this is the first time i encountered this code. what does P0618 mean? Help

Weird, it's one of the few error codes not listed on the Sticky of this forum.

Anyway, SRTForums Sticky says it's -

P0618 Alternative Fuel Control Module KAM Error

Kawizx9r is right with the breakout of the code but finding what the heck that is isn't easy. I did a pretty extensive search on the Internet and couldn't find an exact answer. It's a code that a lot of different vehicles use but nobody seemed to know what to do about it. Some suggested re-tightening the gas cap, others said to clear the code (take off the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes) and see if it comes back as it might have been a false code.

Appreciated your inputs. Now i finally decided to drag my auto to the service center for further diagnostics...
