Default Voltage Spikes- Help!

At idle, voltage was getting small spikes, dunno if there's a huge, intermittent
load regulator is trying to adjust to, or if the regulator (in PCM ) is cooked.
Or if a diode's shot. (Visual they look OK, none blown apart)
Other items of note:

Acid corrosion around battery, it looks like it could've been cooking
Or if battery's old and just off-gassing

Alternator's sitting on desk now, going to pop in half and look if brush is hanging up or something

So far, spike aren't into full-field land, only 1 volt high or so, but have only driven vehicle 20 miles

Default Re: Voltage Spikes- Help!

Brushes look good. Alternators back together, I'll flop it back on, then the head,
see what's up.
