Default Hood Lift Struts?

Which manufactur makes the best quality hood lift struts.

Where can you find them at the lowest price.

I don't mind doing some hole drilling if that gives a more secure mounting.

I would prefer polished aluminum even if it costs a little more.

This is again, Supply and demand. MOSS has a hood lift setup. As far as the aluminum part. GOOG Luck. You might check into the rice burner arena. They might even have slip on type covers and even in colors. Wether it fits the TPC one from MOSS, your guess is as good as mine. Another option is having it Chromed.

Just installed mine an hour ago. Got it from ebay. Works like a charm. I painted the brackets silver to match the car, black piston, chrome rod and all chrome nuts and bolts.

Blue, I'm looking forward to the picture(s) of you hood strut, no dilled holes, installation. I would lke to do the same. By the way when was it the last time you saw a new car that did not have a light under the hood?

Hey COOLPT you just gave me an idea. I am going to check into adding a light under the hood.
I don,t have a digital camera so it will take a bit.

I went on E-bay and saw a pair of hood struts for $129.99 and there was no hole to drill you just use the bolts that are on car. I printed out a copy of what the unit looks like and just made the brackets to look like as much as the unit. You have to use the holes in the hood the one where the drivers side has a plugged in it. I bought a set of 60# rated each struts from NAPPA. I have a friend that bought the set from E-bay and when you look at both sets you can't tell the difference.
