Default Charging system issues

The battery light came on the other day. I replaced the battery since it was the original from 01 and still had the same issue. Replaced the alternator today and it still isn't holding a charge. Do these have an external regulator or does the ECU handle that?

01, 2.4, 75,000 miles.

Default Re: Charging system issues

ECU (PCM) controls the rate of charge.
