Default Poor gas mileage after changing timing belt, water pump, and radiator???

As I have posted a few times in the last week my father in law and I changed the timing belt, water pump, and radiator on my 2001 Touring edition 2.4L. I just got it back this past wednesday night and I have noticed a significant reduction is gas mileage. We caused an exhaust leak by jacking the motor up to much. This excessive jacking, lol, was needed to get to certain bolts, and to get the things around the timing belt cover off. Thats the only change as far as I can tell. My Father in law also said that the marks on the timing belt pulleys and oil pumpo housing crankshaft pully were about a gear tooth off. Any thoughts forum? I have just put exactly 3 gallins in on an almost empty tank and zeroed out the trip counter so I can get a good idea of what I am getting now. I have been driving this car for two years the same routes to and from work and I really have a good feel for how much I can go on certain amounts of gas. We will see. Untill then your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!
