Default Screw turns, but won't come out...?

Hey all, I'm having extreme difficultly (in Pt 2003 Gt turbo), and I mean extreme, of getting a screw out. The screw holds the drivers sit to the floor and is on the left top corner just beside your left foot if you were to be sit and driving. I was able to unscrewed the other 3 screws but that one is the problem it won't come out! I've tried prying it out with all of my force, hammering at it to strip the screw and pull it out. Anyone know how i can get this thing out? I've spent over 2 hours trying to pry and unscrew and get it out. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Got a dremel? To me sounds like you're going to have to cut it out.

I would be able to cut only the head of the screw....but the body of the screw would be in there...how would I remove the body after?

Once you lift off the seat you'll see the body of the screw extending above the surface, should be able to grab it with vice grips and pull while turning to try and remove it. If it's a body bolt, that's supposed to be part of the body and not turn, then you'll need to get someone underneath to hold that while you try to remove it from above. Shouldn't be turning at all.

Pulled up the parts breakdown and the nut for that seat will not be seen underneath, if the drawing is right. If you cut the head off, you can lift out the seat and get to the nut and screw to replace it.

See the parts breakdown in this snippet from the manual:

Once the seat is out, cut a slot in it and use a screwdriver to screw it thru to the bottom of the car.
