Default 2001 standard problems (overheating)

OK, so I got a 2001 Pt Limited, Mechanic checked it out and dealer "It's my personal vehicle, I gaurantee it's good and dependable". 114000 miles, new timing belt, water pump, acc belts, radiator cap. Ran hot on the same day I bought it! Lemon laws in my state won't cover it, and dealer won't make it good or refund my money. Pulled pressure test on it my self and guess what?!, Blown head gasket! So I'm stuck with it! SOOO, I flushed radiator, cleaned the cooling system out real good! Now, I'm unemployed, and don't have the extra cash for head work. I used Blue Devil Sealant, (I can hear the moans and cries of NOOOOO). But I've used it on 2 other vehicles (a 74 Charger, and a 97 F-150), I can vouch for it working on them. Just make real sure you follow the directions to the TEE! I will get the head work later when my new job at Toyota Manufacturing starts in May. I can't recommend "YOU" go the route I took, but I can say Blue Devil works, again if you follow the directions TO THE TEE! Just wanted to vent and advise the route I took to fixing my Cruiser (Temp, but the sealer is permanent). Shoot! My Charger still has it in the heads, and no problems (2 years and counting). Cajun

Make sure the fan is working on both speeds. So your saying the sealer worked on your PT also?

Both fan speeds working (replaced relays anyway), Yep Blue Devil worked in my Pt. Been driving it for 3 days to be sure before I posted it. A friend of mine that works for GM recommended it for me a few years ago. Cajun
