Default 2007 PT Cruiser Touring Ed.

I have a 07 Pt Cruiser and when I drive uphill or just accelerate at all it gets jumpy/shakey. Just a loss of power, really. I don't know what the problem would be... spark plugs? dirty fuel injectors? If anyone has any advice or the same problem I'd love to know how you fixed it. Thanks!

Is the engine light on? It sounds like the cam sensor

Could be lots of things, cam sensor, fuel/air mixture, fouled plugs, bad plug wires... can you do the 'key dance' and see if it's reporting any codes? Could even be shitty gas. If you're not tossing any codes, might want to run a can (SF-16) of Seafoam in your tank. Has your car sat for a while? Also, the sludge and gunk your fuel tank collects doesn't always affect your engine too much when running on a flat surface, but when going up a hill you're pushing the fuel to the back of the tank and all that crap collects in one area, concentrating it's affects when it's picked up by the fuel pump. You can buy Seafoam just about anywhere, Advance Auto, O'Reilly, Napa, Autozone, etc.

The way I use it "Seafoam" is as per instructions:

1/3 vacuum line
1/3 motor oil (1 day preview oil changes)
1/3 gas tank

let rest for 30 min. and start engine, will get out white/gray smoke for a while.

Good luck

Good point, but I'd go with the new Seafoam Oil Additive rather than using the fuel additive. I need to run some in my vac lines too. Think I'll do that this weekend. Good point Red.

Chromenut that is one of the greatest thing you can do to your car.

Seafoam it's great (for me the best) car maintenance cleaner, I've been using "Motor" & "Transmission" and both are good product. Trans tune erase rough shifting to my 05 Malibu.

I run a can through my lawn tractor a couple times a year. Sucker really keeps it running good.
