Default Side exit exhaust = FAIL

just made up a newish exhaust. i installed a SRT downpipe, so i had to make an exhaust system. i ran it just header, way way too stupid sound. next i installed a resonator (glass pack). sounds better but still crap. too annoying. sounds like a stupid civic now.

i'm going to re-install the muffler later when i get time.

it does look better i think.

pics before i finished the clamps and hangers.

I gotta say you've done very nice work. I have a cop friend who is running that exact setup. OMG at 65 on the highway you have to wear ear plugs! And you're right, it's a PT Honda, or Honda Cruiser.... he thinks it sounds great, me, no friggin way. Sorry you wasted so much time but you sure have some mad skills there.

Actually, that setup may be illegal... check your local laws.

Many states have laws stating that exhaust must exit behind the passenger compartment. Underneath the rear door is a no-no.

You also might consider putting some heat shielding underneath that last stretch of pipe. No reason to melt your carpet through the floor.
