Default SRS module location ? and full throttle surging

Hello everyone. I am new here, I just recieved a 03 PT GT with 24k miles on here. I am an ex Master Dealer tech for Volvo, but it been years since I was wrenching. I have a faulty SRS module, and need to locate it, I would like to check the connections first, by no means will I be bent over by the dealer.
I had a the old shop i wrenched for scan it this morning and it has a permanent fault code that will not reset, the module keeps checking the air bags. Unfortunately, I didnt get the code. but I have faith in my old boss.
could someone tell me where the air bag module is located, i would rather not tear this car apart trying to find it ...
2nd issue, I get surging under full throttle 60-80 mph also feels like a slight missfire when parking in parking lots( more noticable in reverse). I have read about these cam sensors ect . Any other recommendations would be great . Thanks in advance...

SRS... module? You mean the airbag itself or the computer unit that controls the airbags?

Try changing your plugs and wires (NOT OEM's). If you get a new sensor, use OEM as aftermarket are not liked by our PT's.

Here's the control from the Haynes manual.

As far as your surging, it is possible that the Camshaft sensor is going bad. Many owners have changed theirs. Usually there's a fault code to say that's bad, but again, the control usually fails altogether when the fault light shows up.

Its' located on the right side of the engine as you face it from the front.

You could also check the connectors for the occupancy sensors(seat plugs),or the sensors located in the seatbelt retractors.
