Default How to remove upper motor mount video

With all the motor mount threads/questions, I thought I'd alleviate the issue by creating a quick how-to video of removing the upper motor mount.

No need to move A/C lines, no need to pull out your headlight or anything crazy. Just watch the video.

For those having trouble with your lower motor mount and require a quick how-to video like the one above, I'll go ahead and create one as well.

Enjoy.

Note: This posting added to the HOW TO thread on the top of the Tech & Performance part of the forum.

you may not realize it, but the NAs are laid out with the a/c lines much closer to the top of the timing belt cover than the turbos, like you have. The NAs are the ones that are doing the most of the posting with the replacement questions. It's obviously doable on the NAs, just "harder" than the Turbos.

My friend has an '05 N/A and I did it the same way. His lines are a bit closer together just above the motor mount, however I performed the procedure the same way.

Also, I hope people see that my PT is an '03 GT as stated in my sig. I know this works for the N/A, but as for the '06 and above it could be a different story.

Yep, I've done it the same way on every NA I've done and like I (and you) said it it's just a little more involved on the NA as compared to the Turbo. The 06 and up are done the same way as you showed in your video. Good job on the vid, by the way!

I am dailey impressed with the enthusiasm and forethought that you're putting into the direction you're going with your PT. I feel like I've got a turbo by living it through you. Reminds me of the old speed shop days and that's a good thing.

Lol

You've got alot more time and effort put forth into your PT but I'll catch up! Unfortunately, any and all $$$ is going torwards the powertrain. You won't see any exterior pics until another year or so.

Btw, thanks

Thanks for all the props!

If you guys want/need, I can do one of the lower motor mount as well though it's just as easily done. Just requires for you to remove a few more bolts.
