Default Manual Getrag Tranny???

Hey all, it is my understanding that the GT models are equipped with a Getrag manual transmission. Does anybody know what the HP and torque limits are on these things? Thanks!

Get a stronger clutch if you're going to push past 325hp.

Rest of the transmission is good to go.

Also, get yourself some booger bushings.

A friend is running 400+ hp in his '03 GT. The tranny is fine, it's the clutch that is the problem. He has the best aftermarket clutch in there and the sucker still slips going down the track.

No its a T350 or something like that. But with proper care, it should be fine in a NA car.

Correct. I've read of no manual trans problems in N/As - just linkage bushings and usual clutch wear.

It's still a Getrag, which as I understand it, is a German company. If that's so, German engineering is all I need to say. And do go with the booger bushings, they use a different locking design than OEM so they won't fall out. I just ordered a set, b/c I've had my PT for almost 3 years, and been missing a bushing at the tranny the entire time, b/c the OEM ones are such garbage.
