Default Pulley

Changing head gasket and I am having issues getting the pulley off the motor so that I can get to the timming belt. Any one have a trick or 2 thier willing to share. Tried a 3 jaw pulley and no luck even after the WD-40 and a couple raps with a mallet.

Default Re: Pulley

Which pulley? the harmonic balancer? the big pulley at the bottom of the engine?
If is that one, you'll need a Chrysler harmonic balancer puller to get that out. That's the only way. You can pick up one at your local Autozone. The good thing is that you can rent it for free. Just pay the the $70 and when you finish you get the money back.
