Default Clunk under braking to a stop

Not an audible clunk, but under constant even braking from any decent (30+) speed to a stop, at ~10mph it almost feels like the transmission is letting lose and grabbing again. Its just a hunch and I'm doing my best to describe it, but the deceleration rate slows for a split second and then catches back up. It happens roughly right around the time the injectors start spraying again for idle is what it feels like, but I've never noticed it so abruptly.

The car is approaching 60k miles and on the "B" service schedule it lists the transmission needs a fluid and filter change. Could this be a symptom of that or should I be looking elsewhere? It almost is certainly a drivetrain problem. I can guarantee its not the brakes and can nearly 100% put it on the transmission which feels like it is slipping or something (its an auto). Anything specific I should check? Is this a known issue?

Also, its a 2007 Touring Edition. Not sure if that will specify what motor it is, so its the 2.4L NA

I had a 2006 that did the same thing, took it to the dealer and they reflashed the TCM, all was good after that.

If it's under braking it's quite doubtful that it's the tranny, sounds more like a warped rotor.

Nah brand new rotors. I know what warped rotors feel like. Its one solid clunk like the transmission is slipping. Not under hard braking, but just gradual even braking to a stop. Its not that deathly crazy vibration or shudder from warped rotors. I used to drive an LS1 Camaro, I know ALLLLLL about warped rotors
