Default Engine cuts out in forward reverses fine HELP!!!!

I have a limited edition 2001 PT Cruiser. IT starts up fine. The motor runs fine while in neutral or idling.Drives perfect in reverse however in any of the forward gears it cuts out after a few yards.Wait a few minutes.Starts fine again & then follows the same as above. No codes are flashing. It is sitting at a mechanic at the moment and they are stumped at what could be the problem.

Any Ideas

Google gives lots of possible answers:

Answers.com - Why would a car run in park but stall in gear
