I have heard very good things about the above. Apparently the chip raises the HP to 167 and the torque to 187 and they sell for $350 (on sale now). You have to ship the ECU box to them and installation is included. Anyone have any knowledge about this or any comments. They do build chips for Neon and Stratus and have a good rep. I'm sue though that the 100,000 mile warranty probably goes away.
Thanks, Mike S |

What basically happens is that they reprogram your computer, since the actual OEM chip is soldered in. If you take your car in for service, the dealer may flash your computer to the latest version and you will lose all the programming done by ASE or KB. It is a 2-edged sword. The dealer may routinely flash your computer to improve or correct conditions or issues in the programming that may be dangerous. Or there may be a recall or TSB issued for updating the computer software. You will have to decide whether it is worth it or not.
The people I've talked to that had their computer reprogrammed said that you will have to use premium gas and the programming was done on a dyno (the right way to do it, IMHO). 2002 Almond Pearl Limited Edition 27K
