If you raise the car and turn the steering from full lock to full lock, you should see where it's leaking from (the fluid will squirt out for a second, probably just before full lock). Mine was leaking due to a hole in the rubber tubing. You can DIY if your handy with spanners. Getting the screw off at the pump is the hardest part as access to it is a nightmare.

Ok,,are you saying its a hose change or pump?/ What would happen if you keep an eye on it and drive & just make sure PS is always full? Any harm? again thanks MJB

It could be either. If the hose is leaking you'll see a squirt of fuild coming from it when its under pressure, biggest pressure being on full lock. If the pump is leaking it wont be as dramatic, just a steady leak down onto the drive belts. If it's the pump you may get away with putting something like this into the pas fluid

Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak stops leaks and noise quickly.

it swells old seals and closes the leak.

If there is a hole in the hose that connects the pump to the rack, then a new hose is needed, not an expensive part ($25??? on rockauto IIRC), maybe a few hours to replace if you've not done it before.

If you drive it without getting it fixed, there's the chance of dripping fluid catching fire on the exhaust.
