Default 2006 PT Cruiser White box that says don't re-attach on drivers side

Our car wouldn't turn over so a friend that works on cars came to look at it.
After he left we couldn't even turn on the lights nothing worked. We discovered a white box hanging down on the left side of the driver side inside the car that said do not re-attach. What should we do? Sorry it was the driver's side. We had just bought a battery and the lights, wipers, radio all worked before that box was removed. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!!! I'd get your friend back to tell me what he did, and what that box is!!

We did ask him. He said he didn't know anything about it.

So the title said it was on the driver's side. We're not talking about the brake pedal switch, are we? Have a pic?

Excellent thought - the brake switch is not meant to be removed and re-used, it's to be replaced when removed.
Katonit -
See if brake lights work. If not, you need a brake switch.
No idea why he's mess with a brake switch.
Have you considered you may have a dead battery?

Picture of Brake Switch.

Only thing is, katonit said "white box hanging down on the left side of the passenger side" , and the brake switch is on the drivers side, not the passenger side.

I don't see a location; Maybe it's a right hand drive?

Very True. No profile so we can't tell which side the driver sits but he did say it's on the "passenger" side so even it's a right hand drive the box couldn't be the brake light switch....and what kind of box would have a note on it saying not to re-attach ??? Must be from some after-market remote starter or alarm system of some kind where wires and box was detached and the aftermarket unit was put in it's place so they didn't want the original wires/unit re-attached while it was in it's place.
