Default Emissions or Transmission Problem

Hi, my name is Kenny. I have a 2002 Cruiser N/A Touring with about 130,000 miles on it. The other day I went outside to go to the gas station, which is about a 5 mile round trip, started the cruiser and put on my seat belt. She hit about 2000 on rpm and then went back down to normal. I backed out and continued down the driveway. The motor acted like it was surging or pulling me without putting my foot on the gas, taking me down the driveway faster than normal until I hit the brakes and then it quit. All was well until on my way back from the store I started to slow down from 55 mph to make a left hand turn and as I hit about 40-35mph the rpm kept bouncing from 2000 to 1000 back to 2000 until I came to a complete stop and then drove fine after that. I know I should've tried to put it in neutral and see if it continued, but I didn't and it hasn't done it again in the past couple of days. What would you think the problem is? I have checked the IAC, it looks very good, no build up or anything like that anyway. Could it be the EGR or the Transmission Solenoid. I appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks to all. I'm fixin to leave work will get back on when I get home.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I checked for codes using the key trick and an obd II scanner and there is nothing pending. Don't know if this helps but the a/c was on and temps outside were hitting 85 to 95 F.

Ok so I just went to the store and the cruiser started to do the rpm bounce again so I shifted it to neutral and the rpm hit about 2500 and stayed there for a minute before coming back down to normal. The trans is an auto 4 speed which is using atf+4.
