Default 05 Stalling Issues

I need some help with this one.

I have an '05 non turbo crusier. Replaced the fuel pump a 6 weeks ago. Last week it started sputtering at low idle & stalling during acceleration. Had the codes check when check engine light came on & was told needed a new IAT sensor. Replaced it & it got worse. Mechanic said change the fuel pressure regulator, & that didnt fi it either. Did the key dance at first it said "done",now Im getting a P0171.

Any suggestion?

Need to know some more information about your car. When was the last time plugs ans wires were changed? How many miles on the car? Besides the IAT and the fuel regulator what other parts did you throw at it or changed in the last few weeks?

Here's some reading...

P0171 Error code

Code P0171

Unresolved Error Code P0171

02 PT limited 40K mi. Error code PO171

If you have no idea on the P&W then I'd start there and change both. BTW, do you know if the timing belt and water pump were changed around the 100,000 mile mark? It's something that should be done and it's a major expensive job of around $1000.

I'm guess you just bought the car used a little while ago. Good idea to change fluids, and ignition parts when buying a car that you don't know the history so you can start fresh.

I'll swap out the P&W's and go from there.

Thanks.
