Default camshaft position sensor / iod fuse connection?

Hi I just replaced the camshaft position sensor in my wifes 05 pt. While tightening down the bolts, I inadvertently shorted my ratchet against the battery. I no longer get error codes for the sensor. Evidently, that short blew the IOD fuse. I replaced the IOD fuse and everything was fine.....for a while. It blew again, but not immediately. It will last a few miles then blow. I've replaced the fuse twice. My question is this. Is there any connection between the IOD fuse and the camshaft position sensor?

I've been looking for a download of a wiring diagram or service manual. No luck. Any help would be appreciated, my local dealer service is one step above Gomer......let's make that Opey.....er Dopey.

Lesson learned! The last time I replaced the IOD fuse I disconnected the battery for 40 mins. prior. Then reconnected after replacing the fuse. It was fine for a few miles of driving. Then popped. Not sure how the cam position sensor works, but wondered if once the sensor sent a signal (if it is connected somehow to the IOD circuit) to wherever it sends it to, if that pulse might fry the fuse if the sensor wiring got fried during the install.
