Default Air Conditioner AC A/C with morning sickness.

2007 Pacific Coast Highway Edition with about 68k mi. Dealer serviced A/C less than 90 days ago. When the car is first started in the morning, about 80 degrees outside, there is no cold air for about two blocks of driving. The rest of the day, it blows perfectly cold air. I know I should not expect cold immediately on starting, but I am pretty sure that the compressor is kicking in for only a second and then dropping out immediately and continuing to do that until the car has been driven for a while. I think the compressor should come on and stay on. I am no AC expert but it seems like some internal pressure is bleeding down; not leaking externally. Any hints or suggestions are appreciated.

Did it behave the same way before the dealer serviced it?

Is your pt neutered? If not perhaps the morning sickness can be linked to something more simple.

Yes, that is part of the reason I took it in. The service was done back in mid April when the weather was a lot cooler so I don't know that I would have noticed it so much back then. I took it in for a sudden growling sound up front and what looked like freon shooting out from under the passenger front. They replaced the fan and serviced the A/C.

I would never do that to my PT.

I realize this is an old post now but I hate leaving loose ends. The problem was a low pressure sensor.

Tom,

You mean the low pressure/recycling valve on top of the accumulator back by the fire wall? Who found the bad part?
