Angry Shaved PT head

I bought a 02 PT touring with a blown head gasket, the machinist said it is .022 off. My question is can I safely machine it and use a stock gasket w/o shims? . Also what is the stock deck height of a cylinder head.

I wouldn't worry about it.

You could see if rockauto has fel-pro thicker HG, or see if someone's removed
it for higher compression.

Neons never used the 'bulge' head ('cept SRT)
