hi. i just made an account. i've had my p.t. for about 2 years now and i love it . i took it to get an oil change and they saw my tires were worn out. i bought new tires and then they told me that my engine was falling.
i'm missing an engine mount bolt. does anyone know where i can find one? i've looked at auto zone. oreily's, advanced auto parts and nothing.

Don I think he means falling not failing. I thought the same thing. Like Don said you get the motor mounts at rockauto.com or any dealer.

Bad motor mounts (torque struts) are a common problem. The rubber parts die over time. I think most everyone here has replaced at least one.

Sounds like he just needs a bolt?

Which one?

If it's just a bolt that's missing, find out which one. But I suspect you have a sheared bolt. That's another issue. That means a lot more work to get the remaining part of the bolt out. Also, you have one center motor mount on the passenger-side of the engine--and one upper strut and a one lower strut (some people call these struts, motor mounts).

Check to see what mounting bolt is missing (broken). If a junk yard doesn't have the bolt you need, then you're going to have to go to the dealer. If it's the center motor mount, then you're in for some lengthy fixin'.
