Default Can I get just a little more power?

If I use 94 gas will the computer advance the timing?
Any easy changes to get a little more power?
TIA

What car, year and transmission do you have? If you have a N/A you are not going to get any more power by using 94 octane gas.

Thought so. How about exhaust, air filter changes?

The K&N dropin filter will give you a little better throttle response but there really isn't much you can do to make more power on an NA PT.

You can do the intake mod, put a drop in K&N filter and a air box to throttle body pipe and maybe an exhaust. I had a Airaid intake and a Borla dual exhaust in my 01 N/A and made big difference in throttle response

I hear tell that if you get the composite intake mani from an '05-up turbo it makes a HUGE difference. Ive heard claims of 18 hp. It is ported bigger and would allow a lot better airflow.

'03 PT Cruiser GT 5spd: removed muffler and airbox silencer future planned mods are K&N typhoon intake, 2" rear lowering springs, hopefully some kind of old skool mag style wheels, and possibly at least a stage 1 turbo upgrade. Oh and i GOTTA get rid of those $#@!'in flame decals!

It'll make your wallet go lighter, I guess less weight is faster.

Not going to happen on a na PT and the composite mani will give you 10 more hp on the turbo cars with the aluminum mani.

A few N/A guys run the turbo intake mani and they saw an improvement though I doubt it'd be that much of an increase in power. An upgrade nonetheless.

$100 bucks for both upper and lower intake manifold (and bolts required) isn't going to break the bank for most people.

Yep, 8-10 when switching from aluminum to composite however there were few that switched their manifold on their N/A pt and liked the result.

Requires a bit of labor to make it work but it's been done before.
