Default PT won't start

I have a 04 2.4L I can't get it to start, when I turn the key all the way
over to start it, will not even turn over, all lights work but could not hear
the fuel pump kick on. I hooked up a remote starter and the motor
did turn over but would not run. Anyone have any clues?

So you don't hear the fuel pump run for a second or two when the key is first switched to the "run" position. And the starter doesn't engage with the key but does with a remote starter switch. I would suspect a blown fuse. I don't have a wiring diagram handy right now to see if the functions share a fuse but it wouldn't hurt to check all of the fuses in the PDC. Then start checking relays. If the horn still works, swap the horn relay for the starter and fuel pump relay (one at a time of course) and see which functions work.

I would bypass the remote starter first. That should be the first thing you look at. You mentioned in your first post that it turns over with it but not with the key. Yank that thing out and put everything back to stock. Odds are, it's a problem with the remote start.

VC said "I hooked up a remote starter". I understood that to mean a simple switch betwen the battery positive terminal and the starter solenoid.

I put a new battery in new fuses and a new relay. Also put a new coil pack on
too

Did you do all this work before or after the starter would not engage with the key?

Something similar happened to mine back in December. Car drove great then went to get in to go somewhere and it wouldn't crank. Everything else worked like normal. Turn the key to the on position and the fuel pump didn't run and in the start position nothing happened either. I swapped around some of the relays with no change to anything. I was on vacation and had no other course of action but to have the car towed to the local Chrysler dealer and they found it to be a bad computer...
