I think everyone on here is highly against the idea, ive never dealt with a performance chip or nething but itd seem if it gave u extra aower as well as mpgs that every car would have em factory right?

Thanks Dill,

maybe, maybe not. I have a friend who has a diesel truck that has a "predator" module on it and it increased HP, torque and averages 100 miles to the tank full more mileage than stock (has had it for 6 years now). Company said that in order to pass emissions they (factory) "de-tune" the engine and the module unleashes the de-tuning. Where I live there are no inspections so no worries on having one. Was wondering if it was the same for a PT N/A gas engine.

Cheers!

Cool-

Make sure you put a filter capacitor on and I would not drive them with more than 35-40w rms!

Back on subject, Any one else try a "chip" or "module" on their N/A or know any info on them?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers!

Chips that offer up to 60 Hp. Maybe in V8 diesel ..Most every chip sold for a car are just crap a waste of money. They do not work. All they do is trick your ECU into thinking it's getting cooler dence air...The best thing you can do is get a good CAI and run a good exaust system Some have had the ECU flash upgraded but i don't have any info about that.

Thanks Rat-

I have a drop in K&N filter with the air box mod, Looking at getting a flow master exhaust with a header and maybe do away with the cat since I don't have to have to do an inspection. I live at an elevation of 8750' so fuel delivery is not a problem, air is! We cant get anything higher than 89 octane fuel here, if you could it would be a waste because of the air. Want to know if there is something out there that will help with that issue. I know the computer adjusts for a/f mixture but I'm under the assumption that there is a limit, pre programed, to that adjustment.

Cheers!

you should stick with the exhaust mani that came with the pt, there's a lot of ppl who have traded to a header but then took it off and noticed a power gain when they went back to the stock mani
