either fill it or get inserts for it.

I put Energy Suspension SRT-4 inserts in both torque struts on mine. There is a bit of vibration at idle but once moving it's not noticeable. The improvement in how the car accelerates off the line and during gear changes was amazing! I have a 5 speed with an auto trans there will be alot more vibration when stopped...

You can also install the mounts from a neon srt-4. Their stock mounts are a lot tougher than the weak PT mounts.

I replaced mine with Duralast struts from AutoZone. Ordinarily, I use OEM for just about everything, but since the OEM struts sucked, I figured I'd try aftermarket (after all, it wasn't an electrical part).

The first thing I noticed about the Duralast struts was that the rubber insert material was somewhat harder than the OEM's. That was a good thing. So I put them in (a perfect fit, BTW) and just happened to luck out: the top strut showed an adjustment of (4.70 inches). Perfect adjustment to specs. I didn't have to go through the adjustment procedure, at all (not that doing so is all that difficult).

By the way, if you're replacing struts all the time, it may not be totally because you're using struts with a cushioning material that is too soft. There is a reason why Chrysler instructs us to adjust the upper strut to the 4.70 inch distance. They're supposed to ride where they're supposed to ride in order to do what they do. You wouldn't skip adjustment on any other part of the car, would you? Why skip on this issue--especially if you're having to replace your struts again and again.

So far, so good. Although, my wife complained of a little vibration at idle, I felt none at all.

Lastly, the struts were cheap--compared to the dealer OEM, that was ....

If your getting motor mounts to put the inserts try your best to get OEM! Those aftermarket motor mounts are crap!
