5 speed is better, if you don't want to have the problems you have been having.
El de 5 velocidades es mejor, para que no tengas los problemas que estas teniendo ahora.

If you are buying a GT go with the 5 speed for sure, because those trannies can handle more than 450 hp.
Si vas a comprar un GT, es 100% mejor el de 5 velocidades porque las transmisiones aguantan mas de 450 caballos de fuerza.

What is your current PT now? Non-turbo (N/A) or turbo?

Reason I ask is because maintenance is a bit different between the two.

Turbo models should use only synthetic oil on oil changes, and depending if you're looking at a GT or Non-GT turbo model will determine what octane you run.

GT = 91/93 octane

Also, if you go with a turbo-equipped PT I'd suggest you look at getting a 5-speed. The automatics in the turbo models are the same as the N/A models and are very weak. Not saying that it won't last you awhile, I had 125k+ miles on my GT Automatic and the transmission shifted fine every time but you gotta baby them....especially if you mod them at all.

I prefer the 5 speed with either engine. To me it is much more fun to drive and they are also alot stronger than the automatic.

Un Toyota Celica es un auto que casi no te va a dar problemas y te va a gastar mucho menos, pero un PT GT de 5 velicidades es un automovil unico.

The Toyota Celica is a car that is not going to give you a lots of problems and will give you better mileage, but a PT GT 5 speed is a very unique car.

All depends on if you like shifting or not. Do you live in the city? Drive a lot in heavy traffic? Going to keep the PT several years?
I personally have been shifting cars and trucks for 40 years so I deserve an automatic for a change.
Far as turbo or not,,,do you want to drive a pig when you mash the throttle or a wildcat?

autos are: Heavier, more expensive, less reliable, slower, more $$$ to repair,
less efficient and can be called 'slushbox'.

There's NO advantage to a slushbox unless you're disabled.
I personally believe the trans should be taxed; it's sent millions if not
billions of gallons into the exhaust pipe, heat exchanger or radiator needlessly.

In 5 years NO cars will have autos, they'll all have 'dual-clutches'; an
auto-shifted manual.
