Default Plugs & Wires

It's time to change the plugs on my '01 PT. Thought I'd let my 15 year old help since this is going to be his next summer. When I started to get things ready I noticed that the plugs and wires were hidden. The problem is I don't see how to get to them. I could use a little help. How do you get to them. Also what combinations of plugs and wires has worked best for the forum

Thanks

MX-5 gave the link. Read it, then print a copy to have while you work.
I went with champion platinum spark plugs, and Crane ignition wires - the stock wires were starting to give me stumbles after 25-30,000 miles. Since it's not as easy as other cars (but better than a transverse V-6), I wanted plugs & wires that oughta last longer.
Also - I did anti-seize lube on the spark plug threads, and dielectric grease on the plug boots (inside & out).

I followed the "short cut" procedure, using a wood prop to hold things up & out of the way, rather than disconnecting more stuff.

Plan on 2 hours, it shouldn't take that long, but you don't want to rush it and forget to hook something back up.

Quicksilver gave you great advice. Other things to watch out for: Have a good torque wrench available and follow the instructins when tighening things down. The two bolts on the rear ECM pipe are different sizes (8mm & 10mm if I remember right) and their a real pain to get to..take your time! Last but not least, hold on to everything really good when taking the small nuts and bolts off...if you drop it, 99 out of 100 times it won't fall right thru and hit the ground making it easy to find! (that's from experience ).

Forgot that! When I unbolted the intake manifold, one of the bolts fell behind the grill - I could see it, but not reach it - finally used a retractible "grabber" with metal fingers to snag it - was a pain.
