Default Air Bag Explaination

I have an 07 PT with auto tranny that was in an accident that deployed the "drivers" wheel, knee bag, and belt retractor (nobody was in the passenger seat). All items have been replaced, but NOW I have a bag light for the passenger side ???

Been doing some thread searching - Can someone elaborate on how the seatbelt buckle is tied into the bag system? I understand the retractor - and that's good.

Default Re: Air Bag Explaination

The seatbelt buckle is attatched to a cable and a pre-tensioner, that has a charge like the airbag. When you get in an accident, it retracts the cable just a bit to make your seatbelt a little tighter. It is like the airbag, once deployed it's junk and needs replacement. It comes as a whole assembly when you order a seatbelt buckle.
